Department/ Role Overview:

This is a key role in the Knowledge team.  The team focuses on harnessing Ashurst’s internal knowledge and making the most of it –for the benefit of our lawyers and for our clients.  In this role you will have an important part to play in assisting with the development of eLearning for clients and media production for business development and internal communications.  You will report to and work closely with the Learning Technologies and Media Co-Ordinator, Expertise Lawyers, members of the business development and internal communication teams and with Ashurst lawyers and clients

Main responsibilities:

  • Assisting with the development, rewrites/amendment of elearning products for clients in Articulate Storyline 360
  • Uploading content to the Ashurst client learning management system (LMS)
  • Keeping our online library of elearning up to date
  • Assisting with the developing new media/learning offerings
  • Postproduction multimedia support for internal and external publication (editing video and podcasts – good knowledge use of Adobe Creative Cloud tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Audition, and Photoshop)
  • Technical support for external webinars
  • Remote support for large events (internal or external facing)
  • Multimedia support/advice for internal purposes in the Glasgow office (filming, photography and editing)

  • Multimedia support for internal communications
  • Trouble-shooting issues with multimedia software
  • Maintenance and upgrade of multimedia equipment
  • Maintenance of media servers

Essential skills and experience:

  • Creating elearning
  • Experience in various aspects of multimedia production from inception to delivery
  • Ability to develop own systems for managing work

Working knowledge of:

  • elearning software such as Lumesse CourseBuilder or Articulate storyline software package
  • Adobe Creative Cloud CC2017/18 (especially Adobe Premiere Pro and Photoshop)
  • WebEx
  • iSpring or similar
  • Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word packages

Desired skills and experience

  • Uploading online content to a LMS
  • Experience in a learning environment and/or training compliance environment
